In Singapore, violations of the Workplace Safety and Health Act can result in fines of up to $500,000.00 or up to 2 years imprisonment for the directors or managers involved.

In Australia, offences against the respective state OHS Acts can result in severe fines and even imprisonment. In the state of Victoria, for example, fines of up to $3,171,400.00 can be imposed on companies and $285,426.00 on individuals.

In China, criminal prosecution is also possible for offences against the Law of the People's Republic of China on Work Safety.
prosecution is possible.

Claims for damages against managing directors and executives on the part of injured employees and insurers can also be asserted against natural persons (entrepreneurs/executives).
